Notice to ISCoS Members

Dear doctor,

We have been closely monitoring updates on the spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic. The health and safety of our ISCoS members, our patients, staff, family and friends is always our top most priority and this is particularly pertinent in our field of SCI and related disciplines which the Annual ISCoS Meeting brings together. Many of us are on the frontline of supporting the most vulnerable in society. Given the confirmation that the Olympics and Paralympics will be postponed until 2021 and to support the authorities of the World in their effort to slow the spread of the virus, the ISCoS Executive and Board have decided to cancel in-person attendance and face-to-face activities at the Annual Scientific Meeting in Yokohama, Japan 2-4 September 2020. It is being proposed instead that we should organise ISCoS 2020 as a Virtual Meeting on 2-3 September 2020 and offer to the spinal cord injury community the possibility to continue education, research as well as sharing scientific news and best practice together without the need to leave home. We are evaluating other virtual conferences during the first week of April and will then take a final decision regarding the Virtual Meeting. We will get back to you with regard to the plan for a virtual meeting by mid April. Meanwhile, stay safe. We can only hope that the present pandemic settle soon globally.
